


There is excitement booming from our Delavan, WI office, as we have so much to share with you. We hope you enjoy this monthly email format and look forward to your feedback.
Our name change: Eight years ago my husband and I started Pathways Medical Advocates with the desire to create a medical office that customized treatments and treated adults and children with respect and individuality. As our business grew into Pathways Medical and Holistic Health Center, our “branches” started to grow and we become much more than a “health center”. With the tremendous success of our conference earlier this year, we decided to base a large part of our business on education through a comprehensive website, yearly conferences and frequent retreats. With the support (and relief) of my husband, I took over the business earlier this year. So where is Dr. Hicks? Happily continuing business as usual with his patients, he has been quite the trooper this year as we have complete switched over our computer system and software allowing for smoother scheduling and records system. He now has access to his patients on his cell phone wherever he travels.
Why we are closed on Fridays: We love our staff and many of them travel far to be here. We moved to a 4-day work week where our employees work four 10-hour days and one Saturday a month. The additional benefit is that it allows more evening appointments. Our store, however, is still opened on Friday and Saturday, but shipping is closed over the weekend.
Where to meet with Dr. Hicks: We gratefully have just two offices right now. Our Delavan office is our main and staffed office and Dr. Hicks still travels to Warrenville, IL the third Thursday of every other month. We have been increasing utilizing web appointments which are now also available through iChat for Mac users.

Important Insurance Information:
Elementals Living does not turn anyone away that has health insurance however we do not bill any health insurance. All transactions are cash transactions only.
Medicare: Patients who indicate that they have Medicare can be seen at Elementals Living by Dr. Hicks or Beth. Prior to the patient being seen they will be asked to sign a private contract making the patient or legal guardian aware that this is an out-of-pocket transaction and cannot be billed to Medicare. A copy of this contract will be given to the patient and they can submit to their secondary insurance for reimbursement. The original contract will be kept in the patient’s file as a permanent record.
Commercial Insurance: Patients who indicate that they have a commercial insurance and would like to bill for reimbursement can be given a receipt for their services as well as a blank insurance form to be completed by the patient or legal guardian. They can then submit this form and receipt to their insurance company for payment.
